Most cribs are sold without these pieces to keep the price down, so you buy the kit separately when your little one is ready to move up. And it has to match your specific crib, which is where we come in.
Check for a label on your crib—it's usually stuck to the mattress board or on the inside of one of the rails, and it'll have the brand and model number. Match that to our listings and you're set. Probably not! Cribs get discontinued all the time, but the conversion kits often stick around long after. So even if the crib itself is gone, there's a good chance we can still track down a kit that works. Just reach out with your brand and model and we'll see what we can find.

The kits are designed to work with the holes and slots already on your crib, so you're not drilling anything new. Yes, as long as you're using the right kit for your crib and it's installed properly. That's the whole point of matching the kit to your exact model—everything lines up and locks in the way the manufacturer intended. Toddler rails and guardrails are there to keep your little one from rolling out, so don't skip them or try to rig something from another crib.
